The Japanese brand Buzz Rickson'sare today counted among the few high-end reproduction manufacturers of military and casual garments in the world! They strive to make true replicas by carefully researching and analyzing original vintage garments, taking great care to duplicate the material while paying close attention to technique and quality. Their goal is to bring back old forgotten techniques and machines needed to make garments of outstanding quality without compromises.
These are Buzz Rickson's reproduction of the pants issued for the US-Army in 1937 as a part of the denim uniform, this time made in a thick and sturdy corduroy material. Denim is often considered to be the workwear fabric of choice but around the turn of the century, corduroy were often used in garments like this. It sure adds to a warm and dressed up look!
A nice detail withthese trousersis the so-calledlaurel leaf buttons. These buttons was standard during the second world war as the metal industry had to turn its focus towar production. It was this standard button that had to be used in the manufacture of clothing. This button can also be seen on Levi's jeans from this time period.
